Wrestling legend and booker Kevin Sullivan has passed away aged 74.

Sullivan’s death was confirmed by Florida wrestling personality Barry Rose on Friday, August 9 via the following statement:
“With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to have to report the passing of the legendary Kevin Sullivan.
“May he RIP and his family, friends and fans find comfort in how much he was loved.”

Sullivan had been dealing with health issues in recent months stemming from an accident at an autograph signing in May, leading to a GoFundMe page being set up last month to aid with medical costs.
Sullivan had a storied run in the wrestling business beginning his career in 1970, competing for various NWA territories across the United States, as well as promotions such as Championship Wrestling from Florida and Jim Crockett Promotions.

The Taskmaster would perhaps be best known to many fans for his run in WCW as part of The Dungeon of Doom, who famously feuded with Hulk Hogan in the mid-1990s.
Sullivan would also work as a booker for the company before retiring from in-ring competition in 1997.
JJA Sport Studio would like to extend our deepest condolences to Sullivan’s loved ones at this time.
