Following CM Punk’s comments, Drew McIntyre has shared a three minute rant on social media following WWE Raw.

On the May 6 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk arrived at the arena right after Drew McIntyre left the building.
Punk proceeded to cut an in-ring promo mocking McIntyre and trying to goad him into returning to fight him on the show. However, McIntyre never returned and the two men never had that teased showdown or fight.

On May 7, Drew McIntyre took to social media to share a video with a three minute rant explaining everything that transpired on last night’s Raw. He said:
“Now after a weekend of working, I like to relax, get back to nature, decompress, especially after being in this game for over 20 years and realize that if you don’t, the anger will get the best of you.”
“You’ll overthink things and when you do that, you’re just wasting life and life’s too short to be hung up on stupid things.”
“But there’s certain things that you just gotta talk about and let it out. And luckily I have this forum when things start to bother, so let’s talk about CM Punk, shall we?”

On the subject of CM Punk avoiding on Raw last night, McIntyre said:
“I know what you’re all gonna say: ‘What a shock!’ I didn’t get to say all of this on Raw, all you do is talk on social media. Stuff Punk is planting in your head, but by the end, you’re say, ‘damn Drew’s right again.'”
“There’s a reason I do a lot of my talking on here. It’s not always possible to deliver my message on live TV effectively because there’s so many people working against you. You saw that with Pearce last night.”
“On here, people like our trusted voice of WWE, trusted. Michael Cole can’t plant lies into our viewers’ heads. Nobody can stop here from embarrassing CM Punk again.”

On wanting to give fans the truth about CM Punk, Drew said:
“All I want is for people to see one simple thing: the truth. I’ve not lied once, somebody show me where I’ve lied and I’ll admit fault because I haven’t.”
“And I’ll give Punk his props, he’s master at spinning the narrative to suit his own image, his own agenda. He should really consider politics after I end his career.”

“The guy can literally sell ice to an eskimo. He sells the marks BS and they lap it up every single time. The last two weeks, he’s avoided me.”
“Last night as I literally left the arena, what a coincidence he drove right in. Of course, he’s got stooges on the inside.”
“Of course, it was part of the plan. So then he heads to the ring, acts like a tough guy, calls me a coward, but it’s clear to anyone with any sense that the coward was standing right there in the ring.”

McIntyre went on to break down Punk’s return run in WWE and says it’s clear as day that Punk is using him to stay relevant.
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk are both currently injured and unable to compete at the time of this writing.
