With her contract due to expire, Becky Lynch had a Women’s World Championship match in the main event tonight’s WWE Raw.

Lynch challenged Liv Morgan in a steel cage match for the title Morgan beat her for just two days ago at King & Queen of the Ring.
However, as reported by Fightful Select earlier, the championship being on the line wasn’t the only intriguing element to the match.
That’s because Lynch’s current WWE deal is due to expire on June 1 (just five days away), and as of this morning, she hadn’t signed a new one.

Lynch ended up losing the steel cage match tonight, after plenty of shenanigans involving Dominik Mysterio and the retaining champion Liv Morgan, including them kissing at the end of the show.
Moving on from that, the big question is of course what this means for Becky Lynch, because in theory, that was the last match on her current WWE deal.
On June 1, if she doesn’t put pen to paper on a new deal before then, she’ll officially be a free agent.

Fightful reported that there has been contact between Lynch and WWE, but no deal confirmed as of yet.
At the moment, it seems any outcome is possible, and it’s worth keeping in mind that Lynch was due to take a break from WWE after WrestleMania, which never happened because she was brought back in when Rhea Ripley got injured.
Becky Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins recently re-signed with WWE after his contract came close to expiring, with similar situations for Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest recently as well.
