The July 15 episode of WWE Raw saw Pete Dunne attack his former Brawling Brutes teammate Sheamus, signifying a character change.

It initially seemed like Dunne was saving Sheamus from a sneak attack by Bronson Reed after the Celtic Warrior was victorious in that match.
With Sheamus hoping to reconcile with the former Butch, Dunne would have other things on his mind, returning to the ring to lay out his former teammate.
Sheamus has since wondered what the ‘beef’ is with Dunne, with the Bruiserweight also sharing his thoughts.

On WWE Raw Talk, Dunne opened up about his reason for behaving in the way he has, having been asked why he’s turned his back on Sheamus:
“What are you asking me for? Go find Sheamus and ask him because he knows.
“As for tonight, I went out with receipts and Bronson Reed got his.
“So, let’s take tonight as a reintroduction to the Bruiserweight.
“The Bruiserweight is no corner man. I’m not here to lift people up, I tear people down.”

Dunne’s New Catch Republic tag team partner Tyler Bate is currently out of action due to injury for which he recently underwent surgery.
He made his WWE debut in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament in December 2016 and went on to become the first WWE star to hold that belt.
Moving to WWE NXT, he would be an NXT Tag Team Champion along with Matt Riddle and made his main roster debut in March 2022.

His WWE SmackDown debut would see him repackaged as Butch of the Brawling Brutes, alongside Sheamus and Ridge Holland.
January 2024 would see him team with Bate on the main roster, returning to his Dunne name later that month.
