A WWE star has mentioned the name ‘Bill Goldberg’ directly to Bret Hart’s face in Calgary on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw.
Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart came to the ring alongside Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore, however he was interrupted by GUNTHER just moments later.
GUNTHER would tell Hart that while Hart was indeed “the best there was”, GUNTHER himself was now “the best there is and the best there ever will be”.
He also told Hart that while he was someone GUNTHER looked up to, he was a close second to his real favorite wrestler of all time.
That distinction belonged to Hart’s arch enemy Bill Goldberg, eliciting thunderous boos from the Calgary crowd at the SaddleDome.
This would trigger Sami Zayn to come out as they exchanged words with Zayn again challenging GUNTHER to a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
GUNTHER, like last week, declined and exited the ring.
Hart would then call GUNTHER a ‘gutless, yellow coward’ for ‘walking back to the dressing room’ which briefly turned around the champ and led to a ringside brawl, but in the end, Zayn was no closer to obtaining his championship match.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Raw, two matches were officially added to WWE Bad Blood on October 5.
