The Rock has responded to being slapped by Cody Rhodes on SmackDown in his latest promo video ahead of tonight’s show.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins came to SmackDown to go face to face with The Rock and Roman Reigns.
The segment saw Cody and Seth accept Rock and Roman’s challenge for a tag team match on night one of WrestleMania 40.
The segment ended with Cody slapping Rock after Rock called him ‘a mistake’, a receipt for Rock slapping Cody at the WrestleMania kickoff event in Las Vegas last month.
Ahead of his appearance on tonight’s show, The Rock took to Twitter to respond to Cody’s slap from last week, and reacting to his promo on Raw.
Rock responded to Cody saying he would hand the belt to his mother, saying that Rock would beat Cody with his weight belt, before handing his mother the belt covered in her own blood.
Tonight’s show will be the third straight week of Rock appearing on SmackDown, though Roman Reigns is not advertised for tonight’s show.
