Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman has commented after wrestling his first WWE match in over a year.

After getting selected by WWE Raw in the WWE Draft, Strowman made a surprise return during the April 29 episode save Jey Uso from a beatdown.
Strowman made his in-ring return in a dark match after Friday’s (May 10) edition of SmackDown, defeating Shinsuke Nakamura in singles action.
This bout was Strowman’s first match in over a year, since a tag-team bout with Ricochet against Chad Gable and Otis on the May 1, 2023 Raw episode.
Strowman has now taken to Instagram to comment on his return to the ring.

Noting that it felt good to be back, this is what he posted:

The Monster Among Men had stepped away from the ring ahead of having neck surgery in June.
He returned to TV on the August 25, 2023 SmackDown episode to pay tribute to Bray Wyatt following his friend’s passing.
