Ahead of the June 28 episode, a new report has revealed WWE NXT stars have been spotted backstage for tonight’s SmackDown in MSG.
WWE is returning to the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden for tonight’s June 28 edition of SmackDown.
Whenever the company has a weekly TV show or major event in the arena, it is sure to be eventful and it seems like talent outside of the blue brand are backstage for tonight.
PWInsider reported that current NXT Tag Team Champion Nathan Frazer has been spotted backstage ahead of the show.
The report notes that Frazer is likely in attendance for the WWE Speed taping that will take place before SmackDown goes live.
Meanwhile, another PWInsider report has revealed that both Wes Lee and Joe Coffey of the NXT brand are also backstage for tonight’s TV taping.
It remains to be seen what the NXT stars will be up to for the SmackDown TV taping from MSG at the time of this writing.
Already announced for tonight’s show, The Bloodline will have an “Acknowledgment Ceremony” following Jacob Fatu’s debut last week.
There will also be three triple threat Money In The Bank qualifying matches as United States Champion Logan Paul will face LA Knight and Santos Escobar for a spot in the Men’s bout on July 6.
Also, Jade Cargill will face Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae, while Blair Davenport will battle Naomi and Indi Hartwell to qualify for the Women’s Money In The Bank.
