On tonight’s WWE SmackDown there was a debut date confirmed for a duo of WWE signings that are expected to make a big impact.
SmackDown is set to get a brand new tag team that are already known by many fans from their previous work.
Another vignette aired that featured allusions to the Motor City Machine Guns but this time with a very direct reference to the tag team comprised of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.
While similar imagery of cars and a city were shown again, this time the vignette also revealed the letters ‘MCMG’ and noted that their debut was coming next week, which will be the October 18 episode of SmackDown in Columbia, South Carolina.
In a separate backstage segment, Nick Aldis informed the Street Profits and DIY that while he appreciated their efforts in their ladder match last week, that was their shot.
He has a “new team coming in next week”, which is seemingly the same ‘mystery’ team he set up to face Berto & Angel of Legado Del Fantasma in an earlier segment.
The discussion of the tag team division was cut short when Nick Aldis’ attention was called by security and he came upon the scene of Kevin Owens attacking Randy Orton who was already down on the ground.
With security pulling Owens away, it wasn’t before he was able to land several more shots while asking Orton if he was “taking sides now”.
