Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley believes Roxanne Perez is the best NXT Women’s Champion in the brand’s history.
Bayley is one of the most decorated female stars in WWE history. She was the first WWE Grand Slam Women’s Champion. The first title Bayley held was the NXT Women’s Championship when she defeated Sasha Banks for the title in 2015.
In a recent interview with The Angle with Joey Karni prior to SummerSlam, Bayley said she believes the current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez is the best to ever hold the title. She said:
“Right now on fire is Roxanne Perez. She is probably one of the top women’s champions that NXT has had, if not the best, and that’s coming from a former NXT Women’s Champion.”
“I also can’t wait for her to be here because she’s incredible in the ring she’s like a little Rey Mysterio but also like Eddie Guerrero, like very technical, she can do it all.”
At WWE SummerSlam, Nia Jax defeated Bayley to win the WWE Women’s Championship.
Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez last wrestled in a win over Thea Hail to retain the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Great American Bash Night 1.
