The field of challengers for GUNTHER at WWE WrestleMania 40 for the Intercontinental Championship has been revealed.
Raw GM Adam Pearce has officially announced how it will be decided who gets a shot at GUNTHER and his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40.
Pearce announced that Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Chad Gable, Big Bronson Reed and JD McDonagh will compete in a match with huge stakes.
A gauntlet match will determine who will go on to face GUNTHER for his Intercontinental Championship at WWE WrestleMania 40.
It was announced that the match will take place on next week’s episode of WWE Raw (March 11).
In a later backstage segment, Ivar and Valhalla confronted Sami Zayn and told him that he didn’t have what it takes to beat GUNTHER.
The interaction set up a match between the two for later tonight on WWE Raw.
Also on tonight’s show, a major WWE star revealed that he was now cleared for an in-ring return.
