John Cena has commented on his status for the seemingly inevitable future WWE WrestleMania event in London.
July 25, 2024, saw a meeting between the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, WWE President Nick Khan and Triple H about bringing WrestleMania to England’s capital city.
Further comments about the meeting have emerged in the mainstream media, with the Mayor and Triple H both extolling the virtues of a potential deal.
John Cena has also shared his thoughts having previously teased the possibility during WWE Money in the Bank in London last year.
Posting in response to the Mayor’s post about the talks to bring WrestleMania to London, Cena confirmed he’d be there, tweeting:
The city of London, and all of the UK has supported WWE thru thick and thin. I try to minimize using the word “deserve” so I will use more appropriate terms.

I’ve said it before and stand by it. In my mind London has EARNED a chance to host WrestleMania. I won’t get to compete… https://t.co/JpcWNhSByH
With 2025 marking Cena’s retirement year, he will wrestle at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas among his year-long final run with the company.
London hosting a future WrestleMania would mark the first time WWE’s big event has taken place outside of the US or Canada.
Saudi Arabia has also recently expressed an interest in hosting a major WWE PLE with WrestleMania and Royal Rumble being considered.
