A new championship match was announced on tonight’s July 12 episode of SmackDown as WWE continues to gear up for SummerSlam.
In a backstage segment, LA Knight was seen leaving Nick Aldis’ office and when he next appeared, he was talking to the ring with folder.
Showing film from his qualifying match ahead of Money in the Bank, he reminded everyone that he actually pinned Paul in that three-way match a couple of weeks ago.
He would go on to reveal that he had a contract for a United States Champiship match at SummerSlam presented to him by Aldis.
LA Knight went on to sign it in the ring, however did note that while he and Aldis have signed it, “that edge lord Logan Paul” has yet to sign.
Knight invited him to come out to sign it right away but Paul wasn’t even at SmackDown tonight.
SummerSlam will be taking place in Paul’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and he’s featured in a lot of promotional material for the event.
