Ahead of Cody Rhodes’ main event match against Solo Sikoa under ‘Bloodline Rules’, Rhodes was greeted by a familiar face.
WWE Hall of Famer (and Rhodes’ former manager in AEW) Arn Anderson met Rhodes on his way out for his entrance and let him know he wasn’t alone.
Telling Rhodes that there was backup coming to his aid on the way, once the Bloodline (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) struck, two big surprises came out to greet them.
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton made their return and would go on to batter the new WWE Tag Team Champions handily while sending them out of the ring, chasing them away through the crowd.
Shortly thereafter when Solo Sikoa was in a vulnerable place in the match, Jacob Fatu appeared and began battering Rhodes.
However when Solo Sikoa was prone to capture victory, a major distraction arrived on the scene.
Roman Reigns returned, running into the ring and hitting Solo Sikoa with a Superman Punch before Spearing him as Cole shouted, “The revival of the Roman Empire with a spear”.
Reigns would make eye contact with Rhodes and then simply turn his back and leave again.
Although he did turn back to see Rhodes get the pinfall as the pair of former foes did not appear to break eye contact until Reigns around to leave again.
