Two more WWE stars have advanced in the first round of the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments following a pair of untelevised matches.

At the WWE Live Event from Macon, GA on Sunday, May 12 two matches took place in the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments.
Firstly, was a clash of veterans as Kofi Kingston took on Rey Mysterio in what was their first-ever singles encounter against one another.

Kingston – who entered the tournament in replacement of his New Day partner and reigning King of the Ring Xavier Woods – was able to come out on top over Mysterio, avoiding a 619 and hitting a Trouble in Paradise for the three count.
Elsewhere on the night, Shayna Baszler took on Maxxine Dupri – who was announced for the match just hours prior by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce in replacement of the injured Zelina Vega.

Unfortunately for Dupri, Baszler would pick up the win via submission and advance to the quarter finals of the Queen of the Ring.
Baszler will now face IYO SKY on Monday Night Raw (May 13), while Kingston will take on former Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.
You can see footage of the conclusions to both matches from Macon, GA down below.
