A match for GUNTHER is being advertised for the upcoming WWE Bash in Berlin weekend at the end of August 2024.
With a few international events in Berlin at the end of August – two of which will be broadcast – some new details have been revealed.
The WWE Bash in Berlin premium live event is scheduled for Saturday August 31, 2024, and there will also be a SmackDown show the night before.
A couple of dark matches are now being promoted for SmackDown, meaning they won’t be televised but will take place in front of the fans in attendance, likely after the end of SmackDown itself.
According to German news outlet BILD, the dark matches at WWE SmackDown in Berlin the night before Bash In Berlin are advertised to be:
– GUNTHER & Ludwig Kaiser vs. Ilja Dragunov & Sami Zayn
– Sheamus vs. Santos Escobar
This would mark an in-ring return for Ludwig Kaiser, who has been out for a few weeks due to broken ribs.
It’d also mark the first time GUNTHER and Dragunov have stood opposite each other in the ring since NXT TakeOver 31 in August 2021.
Before Bash in Berlin, WWE has a premium live event scheduled to take place in early August – SummerSlam.
On Saturday, August 3, WWE SummerSlam is set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio.
Currently, GUNTHER is set to challenge Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the event.
