WWE Bad Blood returns on October 5 with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre facing each other in a Hell in a Cell match.
The Hell in a Cell match stipulation was revealed on the September 9, 2024 episode of WWE Raw with Adam Pearce promising this will be “one more time”.
It was also the WWE Raw General Manager who would reveal the stipulation for their last encounter.
Ahead of that episode of WWE Raw, it was reported that the match would be the main event of the October 5 WWE PLE.
Dave Meltzer has revealed further details of the possibility of it main eventing the show in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing:
“It is not confirmed but there is definite talk about McIntyre vs. Punk in the main event, which it should be”
While there may be ‘definite talk’ in WWE about McIntyre and Punk, someone who doesn’t really have any involvement is AJ Lee.
In recent comments, the former WWE Divas Champion revealed that she has “no idea what’s going on” and that she doesn’t watch her husband, CM Punk.
Two other matches have been announced for WWE Bad Blood with Damian Priest facing Finn Balor and Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley.
It has recently been reported that Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa isn’t scheduled for the show despite a match between the pair being set up on WWE SmackDown recently.
The return of WWE Bad Blood after twenty years was revealed in July 2024 by music producer Metro Boomin.
