An AEW star has turned babyface as he made a surprise appearance, running in to come to the aid of Orange Cassidy.
After winning a match against Mike Bennett on tonight’s February 21 AEW Dynamite in Tulsa, Orange Cassidy suffered an attack.
With the Undisputed Kingdom running out to assault Cassidy ahead of his future title defense against UK member Roderick Strong, Cassidy was saved by an unexpected face.
Jake Hager made a return in his home state, running out to make the save for Orange Cassidy and scared off the Undisputed Kingdom.
It was then announced that Hager will face Roderick Strong on AEW Rampage this week, which is also being taped in Tula, OK tonight.
Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Ric Flair was shown arriving backstage and noting to Renee Paquette that he was displeased with the way he had been utilized in AEW.
Noting that he may need to explore some other options, he was then shown knocking on the door of a green room door that was answered by Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, the Young Bucks.
