AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson have discussed the decision to air CM Punk’s All In backstage footage on Dynamite.

The footage aired on last week’s show, which featured CM Punk and Jack Perry getting involved in an altercation backstage.
The footage was presented by the Young Bucks, who claimed that the altercation was orchestrated by FTR in order to throw them off their game ahead of their AEW World Tag Team Championship match at All In.
Fans online believed that AEW had made a mistake airing the footage on the show, but Tony Khan has doubled down on the decision, believing that it made sense to air it in relation to the story between FTR and the Bucks.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the Bucks themselves were asked if they had any regret airing the footage on last week’s show, sharing the same opinion on the decision as Tony did.

They said:
Nick Jackson: “As EVPs, we were given a task for that week by the boss and we did it to the best of our abilities. Zero regret.”
Matt Jackson: “Since we are wrestling FTR at Dynasty, and with it being the first time doing that since All In London, so many feelings and thoughts came rushing back. Old wounds were reopened. We decided it was only fair to be transparent and honest with our fans. We needed to give them context about why we feel we came up short at All In London. Our bodies were there in the ring wrestling FTR at Wembley, but our minds were in the back with the scapegoat in the entire situation, Jack Perry. The three of us specifically were wronged that night, and I haven’t gotten over that.”

FTR and the Young Bucks are set for a Ladder match for the vacant AEW World Tag Team Championship at Dynasty this weekend.
