Ahead of the June 5 edition of Dynamite, AEW star Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club is returning after five months injured.
Since his loss against Eddie Kingston on the January 12 episode of Rampage, Blackpool Combat Club’s Wheeler Yuta has been absent from AEW television.
As previously reported, Yuta has been dealing with concussion related issues and was removed from a big eight-man tag team match in CMLL back in March.
However, it now looks like the AEW fans will be seeing a make good on that previous bout on the next episode of Dynamite.
On June 4, AEW CEO Tony Khan took to social media to announced that the Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and the returning Wheeler Yuta will face CMLL’s Volador Jr., Magnus, Rugido and Esfinge on the June 5 AEW Dynamite. The post reads:

Confirming that Yuta has been medically cleared to compete again, Khan further explained:
Yes, the medical staff just officially cleared @WheelerYuta today after a 4 month absence + now the entire BCC are ready to jump right into it; teaming together as a 4 man team for the first time in @AEWonTV history vs their rivals from @CMLL_OFICIAL live on TBS tomorrow! LFG

Also announced for this Wednesday’s episode, Swerve Strickland will defend the AEW World Title against Roderick Strong.
The winner of this bout will move on to face Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship on Sunday, June 30 at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Meanwhile on this Wednesday’s Dynamite, Mariah May will go one-on-one with Saraya in singles action.
