Tony Khan has announced that there could be a change to big match at the AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view involving Mercedes Mone.
Forbidden Door on June 30 will see Mercedes Mone vs Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All Match on June 30, 2024.
The match will see Mone’s AEW TBS Championship and Vaquer’s NJPW Strong Women’s Championship on the line with the victor holding both titles.
However, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced that stipulation could change depending on a new match announced for AEW Dynamite on June 12 in Des Moines.
Khan announced the match for the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite through his own Twitter account, posting:

With the possibility of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door match being for just one championship, a fan commented that Vaquer should protest the upcoming Dynamite match.
