On tonight’s August 7 AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker returned from her suspension and fired shots at Mercedes Mone in the process.

News emerged last week that Baker was legitimately suspended by AEW following an incident involving herself and MJF on July 17.
For a recap of the events that allegedly led to Baker’s suspension, click here, but she missed last week’s July 31 Dynamite as a result.
However, she was back tonight, albeit via satellite, with comments aimed at Mercedes Mone.

On TV, the storyline explanation for Baker’s absence last week was that Mercedes Mone had requested the Young Bucks suspend Baker for attacking Mone at Comic Con.
On tonight’s episode however it was confirmed that Baker was no longer suspended as Tony Khan had lifted the suspension issued by the Young Bucks, overruling them in the process.
After Mone’s new ally Kamille won a match tonight, Baker interrupted a Mercedes Mone promo and made comments seemingly referencing Mone’s walkout from WWE.

Baker said:
“We all know, the second things don’t go your way, you take your ball and you go home.”

Britt Baker will challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship at AEW All In London 2024.
The match at All In will mark Baker’s first pay-per-view in-ring appearance since last year’s AEW All In London 2023.
