A date has been confirmed for the hotly anticipated showdown between former WWE star and recent AEW signing Ricochet and Will Ospreay.
While the pair are certainly no stranger to one another, fans have been anticipating their first singles match in AEW since the former foes were reunited.
In a backstage segment on tonight’s Dynamite after Ricochet won a match against the Beast Mortos, he challenged Ospreay for a shot at his AEW International Championship.
Will Ospreay defends the AEW International Championship against Ricochet in two weeks on October 2, the five-year anniversary edition of Dynamite.
Will Ospreay is already otherwise occupied on AEW Dynamite Grand Slam next week as he will be teaming with Kyle Fletcher against the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
As things stand, Ricochet doesn’t currently have a match set for Grand Slam Dynamite or Collision next week.
After debuting in the Casino Gauntlet at All In London, Ricochet is on a three-match winning streak having beaten Kyle Fletcher, Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos in the lead-up to his match against Ospreay.
