An AEW star made his return on tonight’s episode of Dynamite as a replacement in a major match at Double Or Nothing.

During tonight’s show, it was announced that Eddie Kingston was pulled from the Elite vs Team AEW ‘Anarchy In The Arena’ match at Double Or Nothing.
Kingston was initially announced for Team AEW alongside FTR and Bryan Danielson, to face the Elite’s team of the Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry.

To close tonight’s show, there was a brawl between the teams (minus Kingston of course) after Okada defeated FTR’s Dax Harwood in a singles match.
When the Elite had the upper hand with a four-on-three advantage, Eddie Kingston’s replacement on Team AEW revealed himself.

The replacement is the returning Darby Allin, who’s been off AEW TV since he suffered a broken foot during a match against Jay White on March 13.
Allin was planning to take time away from AEW after that match to climb Mount Everest, but that had to be canceled because of the broken foot.
It was also only a few weeks ago that Allin suffered a broken nose when he was hit by a bus while crossing the street.
