A new alliance with Chris Jericho may have been revealed at AEW Double or Nothing 2024 as there was a pivotal interference.
The FTW Championship was on the line when Chris Jericho looked to defend against HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata in a three-way match in Las Vegas at AEW Double or Nothing.
The match was under no DQ rules and featured tables, kendo sticks and even a painfully large number of playing dice in the ring.
However when Chris Jericho was most prone to being taken over by either HOOK or Shibata – with both having him captured in dueling submission holds – suddenly a hooded and masked figure emerged out of nowhere.
After attacking both HOOK and Shibata, the masked man revealed himself to be the ‘Bounty Hunter’ Bryan Keith, who HOOK and Shibata had both beaten on Dynamite to earn their way into this match with Jericho.
Once Keith had laid out Shibata, Jericho then nailed HOOK with the Judas Effect and pinned Shibata for the win.
At this point, it’s unclear whether Keith’s actions were at the request of Jericho or done of his own volition as Jericho was chased away by HOOK so they didn’t leave together.
However, with Jericho having recently recruited Big Bill. it’s possible that Keith will join him as well.
Also, with recent backstage interactions between Samoa Joe, HOOK and Shibata, perhaps there will end up being a trios feud in the future.
Elsewhere at AEW Double or Nothing tonight, Will Ospreay picked up his first title in AEW as he captured the International Championship.
Also, the return of another top star as MJF made his return at Double or Nothing and revealed his contract status via a new tattoo.
