A match was announced for returning MJF at the upcoming pay-per-view in his hometown, AEW Forbidden Door 2024.
Former AEW World Champion MJF made a return to in-ring competition tonight on Dynamite in a match against RUSH.
The match was presented commercial free, and despite being battered throughout the match, in the end MJF would prevail via pinfall victory after landing a Brainbuster on RUSH.
While MJF picked up the victory in the end, his celebration would not last long long as he was met by Brian Cage, the Gates of Agony and Hechicero on the big screen.
Cage said that the Young Bucks had arranged for a special opponent for MJF at Forbidden Door and stated that MJF would be facing CMLL star Hechicero.
However, Excalibur on commentary specified that the match will only be made official once either Tony Khan or Christopher Daniels sign off on it.
AEW Forbidden Door will be held in MJF’s hometown of Long Island, New York on June 30 at UBS Arena.
