An update has emerged on the status of former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa, ahead of her in-ring return.

Thunder Rosa announced that she was stepping away from the ring to deal with an injury ahead of AEW All Out 2022.

Speaking with News 4 in San Antonio, Thunder Rosa stated that she’s waiting for the call to return.

Stating that she’s ready to go, she said:
“It’s very tough. It’s mentally, physically and spiritually tough. But it’s been a beautiful journey from the lows to the highest.
“I am ready. I am whenever that call… my boss says, ‘It’s time for you to return.’ Like, I am super excited and I cannot wait to show to the world and all you fans who have been supporting me all this time that I am ready. And I have a lot more to give.”

Rosa last wrestled at the August 10, 2022 AEW Dark Elevation taping, teaming with Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida to defeat Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir & Nyla Rose.
One star who will be making their AEW in-ring return soon is Riho, who will wrestle her first AEW match in six months in the coming week.
