An AEW star has announced that he will be returning to the ring soon, following four months away from AEW in-ring action.

While former WWE star Paul Wight most recently wrestled in January on the 2024 Jericho Cruise, he hasn’t wrestled on AEW TV since the November 15 Dynamite episode, during which he teamed with Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi and Chris Jericho to defeat Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs in a Street Fight.
Wight has now taken to Instagram to share his first post on the platform in three weeks.

Acknowledging his absence, the former ‘Big Show’ said:
“Hey everybody, Paul Wight here. I know it’s been a while. I’ve been a little laxed on my social media posts. I bet you wonder what do giants do when they’re not in the ring? Well, this giant currently… is taking the trash can (out).”

After noting that he was sweating because he had been to the gym, he revealed:
“I will be back in the ring soon. Can’t wait to see you guys.”

Wight hasn’t wrestled a one-on-one match since March 2022, when he defeated Austin Green in two minutes during an AEW Dark: Elevation event.
Paul Wight recently stated that he feels him joining AEW was the best thing to happen to him. For more of Wight’s comments on his WWE-AEW jump, click here.
