An AEW star is reportedly gone from the company despite still being listed on the company’s roster page.
Last competing in her one and only AEW match at Double or Nothing 2022, former UFC fighter Paige VanZant’s status in the company has long been questioned by fans.
Despite her inactivity, VanZant is still currently listed on the AEW roster page almost two years later, leading to a listener posing the question of her current status to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.
Meltzer answered, confirming that VanZant was indeed gone from the company despite no official announcement of such.
Meltzer said:
“No, even though she’s still on the roster she’s not with AEW anymore.
“She decided she didn’t want to be a wrestler. If she wanted to be a wrestler she’d still be there.”
VanZant last fought in the UFC back in July 2020, holding an MMA record of 8 wins and five losses.
