AEW President and CEO Tony Khan says WWE are “like the Harvey Weinstein of Pro Wrestling” in a new NFL Draft interview.

On the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry and The Elite attacked Tony Khan with a TK Driver that laid out the AEW CEO to close the show.
During the 2024 NFL Draft coverage, Khan, who also serves as management for the Jacksonville Jaguars, appeared in a neck brace, selling the effects from The Elite’s beatdown.

While appearing on the NFL Network to talk about the 2024 NFL Draft and the attack on AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan took a shot at AEW’s biggest competitor, WWE. He said:
“AEW, we’ve been doing this for five years, we are the most successful sports start up since the AFL, pre-merger.”
“There has not been a challenger brand that has gained as much market share as AEW in many many years. We are like the Pepsi of pro wrestling.”
“We’re up against an evil juggernaut. WWE is our competitor, that’s who we’re facing. AEW, like the Pepsi of pro wrestling. WWE is like the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling. I’m really proud of what we do down here.”

This statement in regards to WWE has set social media ablaze with opinions both ways.
This is the latest example of AEW responding or taking a shot at WWE following WrestleMania week where various stars such as WWE CCO Triple H made digs at the competition.
