Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has said he will ‘go dark’ following his recent Dynamite attack angle.
Omega made his return to AEW television on the May 1 episode of Dynamite in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Omega said that he was worried he would have to retire after being diagnosed with diverticulitis back in December, before he was attacked by Jack Perry and the Young Bucks to end the show.
Despite Omega getting physical in the angle, it is still reportedly a long time before he will be cleared to return to the ring, and today he gave a message to fans ahead of his upcoming surgery.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote:
Omega announced the return of Anarchy In The Arena on this week’s Dynamite for Double or Nothing, where the Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry of the Elite will face FTR, Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson.
We wish Omega a full and complete recovery from his upcoming surgery.
