Ahead of her impending departure from the company, a new report has revealed WWE announcer Kayla Braxton has been in talks with AEW.
Over the weekend, WWE announcer Kayla Braxton announced that she will be leaving the company next week, which you can read here.
As previously reported, it was later revealed that Braxton has been working without a contract for some time.
On the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Kayla Braxton has “definitely” been in talks with All Elite Wrestling. He said:
“There definitely was talk between her and AEW. She was looking into other things as well.
“It was one of those things – I was told she could see the handwriting on the wall. They pretty much had decided that Cathy Kelley and Jackie Redmond were gonna be the two top ones. So she was number three.
“So I think by that, she kind of could see maybe it’s time to go somewhere else.”
It remains to be seen if Kayla Braxton will join AEW at the time of this writing.
