Following the July 13 episode, a new report has revealed AEW and ROH star Dalton Castle was knocked out on Collision.

On the July 13 edition of AEW Collision, Roderick Strong defeated Dalton Castle to become number one contender for Mark Briscoe’s ROH World Title.
During the bout, there was a scary moment where Castle was legitimately knocked out by Strong’s jumping knee strike to the jaw. There were also some noticeable camera cuts while the referee counted the pinfall to end the bout.

Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed the scary moment while reviewing AEW Collision. He reported:
“So what happened was a flying knee that knocked out Dalton Castle. He got knocked out.
“The referee counts 1…2… held up the count because it wasn’t supposed to be the pin, then counted the 3 because Dalton Castle never moved. They didn’t show Dalton Castle. He was on the ground for several minutes, so they didn’t show any of that.”

On the edit of the pinfall of the Strong vs. Castle match, Meltzer said:
“You could see the edit, but the edit was the referee held up the count. Dalton didn’t kick out, and then the referee had to count the three because Dalton wasn’t getting up.
“In the building, this was a complete mess, and they were very lucky that this week’s show was taped for this reason. Not a good one.”

Roderick Strong will challenge Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Championship on Friday, July 26 at Death Before Dishonor.
