AEW’s Dustin Rhodes has addressed his current deal expiring in 2024 and his plans for his future in professional wrestling.
Rhodes joined AEW in 2019 having left WWE in April of that year and has remained with the company since.
Having previously stated that he wanted to walk away from wrestling while he “can still walk“, it was speculated that Rhodes would retire after his contract expires.
He would later row back on the speculation noting that he would “need to sit down and think” about his future, suggesting “two to three years” before such a conversation was to take place.
Over on Twitter, a tweet noted that Rhodes’ current AEW “contract expires this coming September” and went on to suggest that Dustin “just wants to be with his brother or focus on other things, such as his wrestling school.”
Dustin Rhodes would respond to the suggestion in a post of his own, tweeting:

Dustin Rhodes has previously discussed his relationship with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes saying that, even though he’s the older brother, he goes to Cody for advice.
He would also note that “Cody stepping out on his own [and] starting AEW with the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Tony Khan… changed everything’.
