AEW’s Bryan Danielson has filed a trademark application for a catchphrase made popular during his time in WWE.

The application relates to the “Yes” chant that was a hallmark of Danielson’s time as Daniel Bryan.
The chant of Yes! Yes! Yes! back in 2013 accompanied Danielson’s rise in prominence in WWE.

Per the trademark application on the US Trademark & Patents Office site:
“Mark For: YES! YES! YES!™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Production of podcasts; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Television show production; Media production services, namely, video and film production; Entertainment services in the nature of a wrestling club; Production of music; Provision of information relating to television, motion picture film, audio and radio”

The application was filed by Danielson on July 29, 2024 and is awaiting assignment to an examining attorney.
While Danielson has used the ‘Yes’ chant on occasion during some AEW matches in recent years, it was initially limited, with the multi-time former WWE champion revealing after he signed with AEW that this was out of respect for WWE’s “intellectual property”.
Danielson began using the ‘Yes’ chant on WWE TV consistently in 2012, but perhaps its most famous use came during the March 10, 2014 episode of WWE Raw, when the Yes! Movement occupied WWE Raw ahead of WrestleMania 30.
