An AEW star has confirmed they have been cleared to make an in-ring return after over a year away from the ring.
Tay Melo hasn’t wrestled since March 2023, and hasn’t competed for AEW since January that year.
With Melo welcoming her and Sammy Guevara’s daughter into the world that November, the past nine months have been filled with speculation about Melo’s eventual wrestling return.
Tay Melo has now confirmed that she has been cleared to return to in-ring action.
During Sammy Guevara’s latest vlog, she was asked by her husband if rumors are true about her making an AEW in-ring return.
Melo responded:
You gotta call Tony Khan and ask him (if the rumors about her AEW return are true) because I don’t know about that, I’m cleared though. Momma’s cleared, I just got cleared.
Melo last wrestled for AEW on the January 13, 2023 Rampage episode (taped January 11, 2023), teaming with Anna Jay in a street fight against Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale.
Her most recent match took place at NEW Wrestlefest on March 11, 2023, teaming with her husband Sammy Guevara.
