WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has named an AEW match he believes is one to remember, while praising a top AEW star.

Many fans miss seeing Omega in the ring, with the popular star sidelined due to diverticulitis in December 2023.
Speaking during a virtual signing with K&S Wrestlefest, Kurt Angle praised Omega for being ‘well-versed’ in the ring.
After noting that he believes Omega could have a five-star match with almost anyone, Angle named Omega’s clash with Will Ospreay as a bout he particularly enjoyed.

Angle noted:
“I love Kenny Omega. I think he’s a great talent. He can have a 5-star match with just about anybody. Kid’s really well-versed.
“I didn’t know about the injuries but man I saw the one match with him and (Will Ospreay). That was a match to remember. They lit it up that night.”

Omega and Ospreay faced off twice in 2023, with Omega first winning the IWGP US Title from Ospreay at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 that January, before Ospreay won the gold back at that June’s AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door event.
Ospreay currently holds the AEW International Championship, winning the gold back from MJF at All In London in August.
