Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has announced she is now medically cleared from her concussion.
On the August 31 edition of AEW Collision, Hikaru Shida defeated Serena Deeb, Queen Aminata and Thunder Rosa to become the number one contender for the TBS Championship.
During the course of the match, Rosa suffered a concussion and has been sidelined from in-ring action since then.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa announced that she had finally been medically cleared to return to the ring from the injury. She said:
“I want to thank the AEW medical [team] and everyone that was involved — I’m finally cleared.”
“If you feel that you have a concussion, please go to your doctor. If you are an athlete, please let your coaches know that this is important.”
In September, Rosa denied rumours that she had been cleared to compete.
