AEW President Tony Khan granted an AEW star’s previous request for a dream match, which will take place on this week’s edition of Collision.
Khan took to Twitter to announce Jon Moxley’s first AEW match of 2024, revealing that Moxley will go one-on-one with Shane Taylor on Saturday’s (January 20) show.
Noting that Taylor has been waiting years for this match, Khan shared the following preview for the bout:

Tony Khan also replied to a video shared on January 17 pointing out that Shane Taylor had commented on the possibility of a match against Moxley back in 2022.

Moxley hasn’t wrestled in AEW since losing the Continental Classic finals to Eddie Kingston at Worlds End on December 30, 2023.
While this will be Moxley’s first AEW match in 2024, the popular star has been active in NJPW this year.
Moxley notably faced off against Will Ospreay and David Finlay in the first ever IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship match that took place at Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4, before defeating Shingo Takagi in a No Disqualifications bout at Battle in the Valley on January 13.
Jon Moxley is set to battle current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito at Windy City Riot in April.
