Following the July 20 edition of AEW Collision, former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has commented on another major loss.
Thunder Rosa has been embroiled in a rivalry with Deonna Purrazzo since the two women got in each other’s path to the AEW Women’s World Championship this past spring.
After Rosa won their first encounter on Rampage in April, Purrazzo defeated Rosa in a rematch at Double Or Nothing and then in a No DQ match on the June 15 AEW Collision.
On the July 20 edition of AEW Collision, Deonna Purrazzo defeated Thunder Rosa in a lumberjack match thanks to an assist from Taya Valkyrie.
After the show went off the air, AEW cameras caught up with Thunder Rosa to get her thoughts on her third straight loss to Purrazzo. She said:
“I can blame absolutely everybody for my mistakes, if I want to, if I really want to. But I’m the only one who disappointed my family, who disappointed my state.”
“A couple years ago, I was on top. I won the championship, the Women’s World Championship in my own house with my people, where everybody believed in me, where I believed in myself.”
“But lately, I think I am losing myself. There’s one thing, there’s only one thing is starting right now.”
“That is that I keep disappointing. Everyone. I wanna find myself again. I wanna believe in myself again.”
AEW also caught up with Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie to hear their thoughts on their new alliance, which you can read here.
