Former WWE star MVP made his first appearance for AEW at tonight’s Dynamite ‘Grand Slam’ show in Queens, New York.

MVP’s debut segment began as an interview on the stage with Tony Schiavone asking Prince Nana for an update on Swerve Strickland.
As Nana was explaining that Strickland isn’t currently medically cleared to compete but is working hard on returning, he was interrupted.

Walking out onto the stage was MVP, who departed WWE upon the expiration of his contract in August.
MVP said that Nana had failed as Strickland’s manager, and was too busy focusing on dancing and selling coffee.

He handed over a business card to Nana, and told him to give it so Strickland so they could “talk business” when Strickland is ready to “get serious”.
Despite many believing they’d stick together post-WWE, MVP’s former stablemate in the Hurt Business Bobby Lashley did not appear alongside him tonight.
