Top WWE star Randy Orton has commented on NXT North American Champion and Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio’s evolution.

In 2023, Dominik Mysterio has firmly established himself as the most hated star on the entire roster as a member of The Judgment Day alongside Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Finn Balor and more recently, JD McDonagh.
Mysterio captured the NXT North American Championship on two occasions and has faced a who’s who on the WWE roster, including Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. On the November 27 edition of WWE Raw, the returning Randy Orton defeated Dominik Mysterio in the main event.

Speaking with Logan Paul on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Orton discussed Dirty Dom’s evolution. He said:
“I think it’s all because of the mullet, I really do. So, his dad and I are tight, and you’ve worked with Rey, you met Rey, Rey is probably the only guy back there that’s friendlier than Omos.”
“And Rey took care of me back in the day and for me, I wrestled Dom last [Monday] night on Raw, I don’t know if you guys saw it or not.”

“But it was such a pleasure to be out there with him and to be out there knowing ‘oh my god I know you’re dad’s at home watching, I wanna make your dad proud’. It was a great feeling.”
“I am so proud of Dom as well. I know exactly what you’re talking about when he first started coming up and Rey brought him around it was like ‘this kid needs another f**king 10 years and he needs to go fight in a war or something, come back grizzled’.”

“I remember that night [he turned on Rey], I texted Rey and Dom that night, I wanna say he either clotheslined his father or kicked him in the nuts, but Rey is such a loveable guy, and for him, we all grew up 20 years ago, fans saw Dominik on television, he was involved in storylines, so everyone saw this cute little kid, and now here he is disrespecting his father who we adore. Yeah, boo!”

Randy Orton has officially signed with the SmackDown brand on the December 1 episode.
