WWE Raw: Day 1 takes place on January 1 and Drew McIntyre has set his World Heavyweight Championship match as his ‘final destination’.

At the first Raw of 2024, McIntyre faces current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins for the title.
With the WWE Holiday Tour underway, McIntyre commented on the current run of live events which included a bucket list moment of main eventing MSG.

Speaking in the video posted on his Tik Tok and shared on the WWE Twitter account (that can be seen below), McIntyre said:
“I’m in Boston right now, packing to head to the TD Garden, it started last night in Madison Square Garden.
“Drew McIntyre’s first ever main event at The Garden.

“Punk’s first match in ’10 years’ (McIntyre did air quotes for this) and to be honest, you know, he looked pretty good.
“I was watching through the curtain, fans were excited to see him, he looked pretty good in the ring against Dominik (Mysterio), who’s no slouch, but we’ll see how Punk does against a McIntyre or Rollins.
“And, he seems to have forgot his gear, he was wrestling in undertights, so looked pretty stupid, but, yeah, looks like he hasn’t missed a step to be honest.”

McIntyre would comment on the Madison Square Show being the biggest non-televised live event gate of all time, adding:
“I’m not saying it’s because Old Big Mac was in the main event, but I’m not not saying that.”

He would then talk about the next few days and heading back to Nashville to celebrate his wife’s birthday and New Year’s Even before heading to WWE Raw for New Year’s Day, concluding:
“Celebrate New Year’s Eve, set that resolution – what is it?
“Win the World Title at Day One.

“Finally win the championship in front of live fans.
“Because, if I don’t, I mean what the hell is all this been for?
“As far as I’m concerned, this is a week-long boot camp and Day 1 is the final destination.”

McIntyre’s WWE contract is reportedly up in April 2024 and it was recently reported that he’s “considered a number of things” ahead of making a decision on his future.
