An injured WWE star has been filming their debut movie role during their ongoing absence from WWE television.
Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sonya Deville has been out of action with a torn ACL she suffered back on SmackDown on July 28.
Sonya was one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions with Chelsea Green at the time, with Piper Niven eventually stepping in to replace her as Chelsea’s partner.
However, Sonya has been keeping herself busy during her absence, filming her debut movie role in the upcoming murder mystery ‘DNA Secrets’, where she will play a police officer.
Sonya commented on her role to 10 Tampa Bay, saying:
“Obviously, the hustle and bustle, the hurry up and wait, the cameras, the memorization of lines, the having to constantly be ready and on, is very similar. I do have to say, I do like that in filmmaking you get more than one take. When you’re on Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown, it is live, live, and that is it,” Deville said.
It is not yet known when Sonya will be cleared to return to the ring following her injury.
