A top WWE star has returned from injury to team up with Cody Rhodes at a recent event from Alexandria, LA.
Ahead of their blockbuster WrestleMania 40 tag team match with The Rock & Roman Reigns, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes had a chance to familiarise themselves with each other at a WWE live event on Saturday, March 9.
In what was Rollins’ first match back in WWE in just over two months, The Visionary looked to be back to his best as he teamed with Rhodes to take on The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
As captured by footage from a Twitter user in attendance at the event (see below), it appears that any doubts of the two former rivals not working well together as a team can be quashed, as their offence looked to be perfectly in sync with one another leading to the match’s finish.
Unsurprisingly, as seen in the footage below, it was Rhodes and Rollins who picked up the win, in a successful return to form for the latter after missing two months of action with a knee injury.
This week’s SmackDown not only saw Rhodes and Rollins accept the challenge for the massive tag team match at WrestleMania 40, but it also saw some massive extra stakes added to the bout – to read full details on this click here.
