A WWE star has reacted to losing their first match in the company after officially signing earlier this month.
Former AEW star Ethan Page made his surprise debut for WWE on the May 28 episode of NXT, where he was revealed as the attacker of Noam Dar and Oro Mensah, before laying out NXT Champion Trick Williams.
The following week, Page officially signed with NXT, as well as being granted a shot at the NXT Championship at NXT Battleground, his first match for the company.
In the main event of last night’s Battleground show, Page was unsuccessful in taking the championship from Trick Williams, with Trick hitting him with a big knee to retain the NXT Championship.
Taking to Twitter after the show, Page reacted to his defeat, sharing a photo of himself from the end of the show along with the caption:

Page was attacked by Meta Four’s Oro Mensah prior to the show in Las Vegas last night, seemingly setting up his first feud following Battleground.
