A WWE star has been confirmed to be competing in a big match for another wrestling company.
Following the main event of Dream Star Fighting Marigold’s June 11 show from Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall, between Utami Hayashishita and Nanae Takahashi – a challenge was thrown out for a future match by WWE star IYO SKY.
Appearing in a video shown on the big screen inside the venue, SKY called out Hayashishita for a match at Marigold’s Summer Destiny event on July 13 at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.
This confirms reports from last month which suggested that SKY was one of two WWE stars to be heading to Japan to appear at Marigold’s July 13 show – the other being Kairi Sane.
There is currently no official word on Sane’s role on the Summer Destiny show, however, we will be sure to post further updates as they are released.
As well as Sane and SKY, WWE and Marigold’s working relationship has been seen through reported new WWE signing Giulia, who already made her debut for Marigold at the company’s first event on May 20.
Unfortunately Giulia suffered a fractured wrist in that match – ruling her out indefinitely from both Marigold and a potential WWE debut.
