Following the WWE Clash At The Castle event, a new report has revealed an update on former WWE Champion CM Punk’s return.
At WWE Clash At The Castle, Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event.
The victory came after CM Punk came down in a referee shirt to screw over and deliver a low blow to McIntyre ahead of Priest giving his opponent the South of Heaven.
During the Clash At The Castle post show press conference, Punk addressed his torn triceps injury and stated that he hopes to be cleared ahead of the June 21 Friday Night SmackDown.
On June 17, WrestleVotes reported that CM Punk’s “official” return date was set for the end of July as of last week’s June 10 edition of Monday Night Raw. The report reads:
As of last week’s RAW roster sheet, CM Punk’s official return date was set for the end of July. I’m told he likely won’t be cleared for action by MITB on 7/6, but he should be ready for SummerSlam on 8/3.

If he is ready for SummerSlam, that could be the date for the highly anticipated CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre match that has been building since Punk suffered his injury at Royal Rumble in January.
JJA Sport Studio will provide any further updates on CM Punk’s return from injury when they become available.
