Following his recent injury, new report has revealed more details and provided an update on WWE NXT star Javier Bernal.
As previously reported, WWE NXT star Javier Bernal revealed that he suffered a broken foot during a recent episode of NXT Level Up.
The injury requires Bernal to likely undergo surgery on his foot that will keep him out of action for six months.
Fightful Select provided an update, noting that Javier Bernal’s injury occurred on a dive to the outside of the ring on his opponent Riley Osborne of Chase U in which his leg buckled.
Javi did not return to his feet following the dive without the aid of the referee and his tag team partner Drake Morreaux’s help following the match’s conclusion.
The report notes that there is no confirmation that the finish of the match was altered, but in asking around with NXT sources, they did not hear of any internal heat directed at Osborne for the injury.
This was nothing more than an accident during the bout and no one is to blame directly.
