Following the announcement of his exit, Dijak has revealed the “disheartening” moment he felt WWE was looking for a reason to “not like” him.

In October and November 2021, Dijak – while he was still named T-BAR – had two matches with Damian Priest on Raw, which came at a time that he was very rarely afforded a spot on TV in the period between RETRIBUTION ending and his move to NXT.
Appearing on Mace and Mansoor’s Twitch stream today, Dijak recalled the backstage reaction from Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard, who weren’t happy about the match with Priest despite the praise it received from others.
According to Dijak, McMahon was fixated on one particular moment during a commercial break – meaning TV viewers didn’t even see it – where Dijak was holding and dragging Priest around, but supposedly wasn’t doing it aggressively enough.
Dijak expressed that he’d gone through so much in the match itself to impress McMahon, including being put through a table and taking a massive chokeslam from Priest, only for McMahon to focus on the one negative thing.

Dijak said he felt like: “That was the moment they’re actively looking for a reason to not like me”.
He spoke about how he was very frustrated in the locker room afterwards, and Keith Lee offered some advice to him, telling him to “not sell” his disappointment.
He of course didn’t end up getting much more of a spotlight on the main roster after that, but did eventually move to NXT and rebrand himself as Dijak.

Earlier today, Dijak announced that his WWE contract expires at midnight on June 28 and he’ll be leaving the company at that point.
He said the company didn’t make any official offer to attempt to re-sign him.
